City of Ames
Right-of-Way Permits
Apply for permits, track their progress and close them out — online, at any time.
Welcome to the new ROWAY experience
This site has been rebuilt from the ground up with a faster, easier-to-use, and more accessible design. Your account and permit history came along with it.
Returning users: for security, passwords were not carried over from the old site. Before your first login, please reset your password using the email address on your account.
Please delete an email from me around that was about an RFI/RFP at 2-3pm on 3/17/26. That was a phishing attack. IT has fixed the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.
